How we protect your Family Binder

PrivaraVault is built so your household information stays private to your account. Connections to the app use HTTPS. Sign-in uses secure sessions. Sensitive notes and documents are designed to stay protected with your Passcode & Security settings. Billing uses Stripe’s secure checkout — we do not store your full card number on Privara servers.

What stays in your account

  • Your Family Binder is scoped to your signed-in account — other households cannot open it.
  • Sensitive items are meant to be protected with your Passcode. Complete Passcode & Security during setup so the strongest protection is turned on for your household.
  • Backups follow the same provider safeguards we configure for private storage.

Sign-in & sessions

When you sign in, PrivaraVault uses short-lived secure cookies so the app can recognize you on this device. Sign out from Settings anytime — especially on shared computers.

First-responder share links

Optional first-responder links show only the emergency snapshot you choose (who to call, medications, allergies) — not your full Family Binder. You can set an end time and pick which details appear. Treat the link like a medical bracelet: useful in a crisis, not a secret password. Rotate it from Emergency quick access if it was shared too widely.
